December 29, 2014

Last Tuesday we attended the Maryland Baltimore Mission Christmas celebration and devotional.
Senior couples helped prepare and serve the food
and also with cleaning up.

Rolls, rolls and more rolls.  Sister Richards made them all.

It's no easy task to get all these people to be still, but we did it.

Wednesday we invited our district to celebrate Danish Christmas Eve with us. We served pork roast, meatballs, sweet and sour red cabbage, caramel potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable medley and tossed salad.  For dessert we had rice pudding with a white almond in it.  The one who got the almond won a large chocolate Santa Claus.  Elder Brackett won!  He was thrilled.

This elder actually knitted these hats for us.
We love them.  Amazing talent.

After dinner we had a very nice and heart warming program.  Everyone participated.  We read scriptures, poems, stories and ended by walking around the Christmas tree singing Christmas songs.  We got a little silly at the end but we had fun.  Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of that part.

Back for only a few days.  We will miss him.

Rudolf also stopped by.

On Christmas day we were invited to a Filipino feast at our branch president's house.  We enjoyed all the food
and the fellowshipping.

On Saturday I went with several other Relief Society sisters to lunch and then to see the temple Christmas lights.  We also attended a beautiful musical program in the visitor's center auditorium.  It was a wonderful day and evening.

  1. E. McRae's dad would like to know why a sister missionary is sitting on the floor while he is sitting on the couch.
